Caring
for Your Jewelry
In
order to ensure that your fine jewelry becomes a treasured family
heirloom, you must properly care for it. Professional
cleanings are recommended as often as once a year. Necessary repairs
are recommended to be performed by expert skilled craftsman. We
encourage you to bring your David Orgell jewelry back to us for
such professional care.
Caring
For Gold and Sterling Silver
Between
professional care, most gold and platinum jewelry can be maintained
with a nonabrasive cleaner. Examine your jewelry regularly to make
sure settings are snug and clasps are secure.
Sterling silver tarnishes rapidly, especially when exposed to salt
air and products containing sulfur, such as rubber bands and some
papers. David Orgell recommends a nonabrasive silver polish to keep
your silver looking its best.
Jewelry storage is important as well. At the time of purchase, all
David Orgell jewelry is wrapped in a protective box, case or tarnish-resistant
pouch. Between wearings, we recommend that you place it back in
its original case or another suitably lined box or pouch.
